On 10 May Mr Frank Kingston, his wife and their daughter Edna had been injured when a bomb demolished their cottage in Cross Street. Neither he nor Edna had ever really recovered from the incident; Edna had spent a number of months in hospital afterwards. Almost immediately after her release, her father was admitted to hospital. Edna die on 14 November, and her father on 26 November. He was buried in Gedney Hill on this day. (Tebbs, H.F., Peterborough, Oleander Press 1979)
